Resolutions? We have packages!

It’s the New Year! It’s so hard to believe another year has flown by. But it has and here we are, making our lists of what we are going to achieve and what we are going to leave behind. This is the time where we prioritize our health and happiness at the top of the list. “This year I’m going to quit smoking”, “This year I’m going to get in shape and lose weight”, “This year I’m going to take really good care of myself”. We’ve all done it. But that ambition and that drive seems to last for approximately two weeks, if that, and our goals start sliding and we start slipping. Suddenly it is January 30th and we end up making our old excuses once again.

Happy New Year

It's the New Year! It's so hard to believe another year has flown by. But it has and here we are, making our lists of what we are going to achieve and what we are going to leave behind. This is the time where we prioritize our health and happiness at the top of the list: "This year I'm going to quit smoking", "This year I'm going to get in shape and lose weight", "This year I'm going to take really good care of myself". We've all done it. But that ambition and that drive seems to last for approximately two weeks, if that, and our goals start sliding and we start slipping. Fall Allergies
About ten years ago, I moved here from lovely and perfect San Diego. It was early March and only a few short months later, I learned, without insurance, that I was allergic to every single thing that grew here. Each spring for the next three years, I would end up in the hospital because it set off such severe allergic asthma. I didn’t know I was allergic to anything. I ended up having to be on Advair, Singulair, and a fast acting inhaler. I also had to start taking allergy medicine in late winter to build it up for spring. I absolutely hated taking anything mainly out of laziness and the rebellion of having to take something at all, so I wasn’t always consistent. This was miserable and expensive! Needless to say I dreaded spring.
Keeping up with your New Year's goals!

Most of you are on week three of your new year's goals. The first three weeks were easy as you poured your heart into these goals, but as time goes on and your ambition wears off, your resolutions are slipping away from you and so is that progress. "I'll work out tomorrow", "I'll just have this one cigarette", "I'll just ignore this crappy feeling and not deal with my health issues". Stick with it! You made these goals because they were important to you. You and your health are worth it.
Happy New Year!
Happy New Years!! Its the beginning of the year and big changes are in store for all of us. Hopefully they are all positive as we strive to be better than the year before.
Most of you know that White Lily Acupuncture is undergoing some exciting news...expansion construction!! As of the 1st, I decided to take over the office next door and build on to White Lily Acupuncture. Excitedly, this morning, I can see the progress start to take shape. A new wall has been built and new doorways have been cut out. YAY! I am guessing another week or so and the renovation will be complete. (On top of the expansion, a very special and talented massage therapist may be joining forces here!) This is exciting because for most of you this will mean a whole different experience at White Lily Acupuncture.
If better health is one of your new goals in the new year, let White Lily Acupuncture be a part of your healing journey! Or just come say hello and check out the new space!
Happy New Year!! Best wishes for health and happiness!

Go,go,go!

Its official, its nearing the end of the year. With that comes traveling, many get togethers, cooking and over eating, trying to wrap things up and juggling work and family. Stress is an understatement! For many of us who already have one million things to do, the end of the year just means more stress. If we don't take a break and we continue with the go, go, go lifestyle, we can end up paying the price. Our body aches, we are fatigued and we just can't seem to recoup. It is important to be able to take a break because if we don't, we risk “adrenal fatigue”. If you haven't heard of this condition, you will. Its becoming more and more of an issue with our high stress lifestyle.
