Charting

Charting
When women come into my office wanting to get pregnant, I ask them two easy questions: On what day do you ovulate and how long are your cycles. It amazes me that most women do not even know how long their cycles are! Well, I tell them, we should probably figure that out. One great and easy way to see what and how your body is doing each cycle is to chart them. (If you need a chart, I have one under the “Women's Tab” and then under “Resources” as a PDF file.) To get a pretty good idea of what your cycles are like, I would recommend charting for at least three cycles.

Prepping for pregnancy

birth_control

Are you thinking of having a bundle of joy any time soon? If so, it is important to take care of yourself now so that you and baby are healthy and happy! Many times, people come off their birth control pills/patch/ring expecting to conceive right away. If not then, then at least in the few months that follow. Some women are fortunate enough to have no issues making the transition from hormonal birth control to doing everything on their own smoothly and soundly. Others however need a little more adjustment time. This is actually an important time to have because bringing your body into balance sometimes takes time.

Stress can lead to heart disease in women

Women_and_heart
Women tend to be natural care givers which often gets misconstrued with "responsible for everything on earth".  Between children, relationships, career, home, errands and so on, it is hard to find that balance that brings us out of that frenzied state, and into our own state of relaxation.  Heart disease is the number one killer among women.  It is important to remember that taking care of yourself is just as important as taking care of everyone and everything else!

The heart is an amazing thing. We all know its very important to take care of it and most of us by now know that if we don't, we face such things as heart disease.

US_mag_Mariah
More and more stars are talking about their experiences with Chinese medicine and their own fertility challenges.  In this article, Mariah Carey is said to have had "once a day acupuncture".  Many women do not have the time or the money for once a day acupuncture, but treatments can be supplemented by herbs with very effective results.  Although once a day acupuncture may not seem very realistic, Mariah's fertility challenges can still be related to by women who are experiencing the same thing.
