Acupressure for tummy troubles
Hopefully everyone had a great Turkey Day, some days off to relax or shop, and some days to enjoy the nice weather we have had. If you found yourself indulging in all the yummies from and leftover from Thanksgiving, and are now experiencing “off” digestion, let me remind you that acupuncture can quickly harmonize your digestive functions and help you feel better quickly, effectively and naturally. For those of you who have had acupuncture, you have probably experienced an active stomach once the needles are inserted. This goes to show how quickly the body responds to acupuncture and how it can quickly help you. There are some acupuncture points you can press at home to help settle a rumbly tummy, move food stagnation from overeating, relieve bloating, cramping, nausea, diarrhea or constipation.
Treating colds and flus with a natural approach

September marks the beginning of the school year, the start of fall, and the start of cold and flu season. With kids being back in school, the whole family is susceptible to getting sick, and more often.
In western medicine, there is no cure. Just good lifestyle choices such as rest, hydration, add a dose of cold or flu medicine like Nyquil or Dayquil on top of it and wait it out. There is nothing worse than being sick with the crud. It is exhausting, it feels rotten, and recovering seems to take forever. Getting a cold or flu is inconvenient for our busy lives, and everyone would agree that they would be better off without it!

Charting

When women come into my office wanting to get pregnant, I ask them two easy questions: On what day do you ovulate and how long are your cycles. It amazes me that most women do not even know how long their cycles are! Well, I tell them, we should probably figure that out. One great and easy way to see what and how your body is doing each cycle is to chart them. (If you need a chart, I have one under the “Women's Tab” and then under “Resources” as a PDF file.) To get a pretty good idea of what your cycles are like, I would recommend charting for at least three cycles.
Delayed menstruation with cramps
I saw Christine because I was a few days late on my period and feeling crampy. I went to Christine and she did acupuncture on me and I ended up getting my period within 20 minutes of treatment. Now I see Christine to regulate my period and to keep my healthy.
