One of the most powerful acupuncture points is called Hegu, or Large Intestine 4. This is a very strong point, so this point is always contraindicated in pregnancy – do not use this point if you are pregnant. Hegu is located about halfway along the index metacarpal bone, next to the bone. Press this point till you feel a soreness or qi sensation. You can press this point for a minute or so and use as needed.

If you are feeling uncomfortable, but are pregnant, you can instead use Nei Guan, or Pericardium 6. To find this point, turn your hand face up so that your palm is facing up. From the center of your crease created by bending your wrist, measure approximate 1.5-2 inches down. Directly in the middle of your two tendons, you can find PC6. Press this point until you get the qi sensation. Press as needed.

Pressure on either of these points should give way to relief sooner than later. With more holiday get togethers and family dinners, remember these points to feel better quickly!
